What an independent check shows
From the free CarJam / NZTA record for plate HQU324, and the paperwork from purchase:
- Not on the Police stolen list.
- No damage records and no statutory write-off records, checked 6 Aug 2026.
- Odometer not flagged as inconsistent.
- Not imported as a damaged vehicle.
- Never re-registered. The registration has never been cancelled, and it has carried the same plate since it was first registered here in 2014.
- No security interest registered on the Personal Property Securities Register at purchase (Sept 2025). Owned outright, no finance owing.
- CarJam shows an estimated current odometer of 358,500 km. That is an extrapolation from average daily use, not a reading. The actual odometer at the 5 Aug 2026 service was 334,659 km, documented on the invoice.
- The record shows WoF fails at inspections on 30 Jul 2020, 24 Nov 2021, 23 Nov 2022, 11 Jan 2024 and 30 Jan 2025. Each was re-inspected and passed, and the car holds a current warrant.
Disclosed for transparency
Everything below is on the invoices that come with the car. It is here so there are no surprises at the viewing.
- Rear trailing arm bushes are perishing, noted as borderline for WoF at the August 2026 inspection. The vehicle passed and holds a current warrant.
- Rear tyres measured 5 mm tread at the August 2026 service; the front pair is new.
- There is a scuff in the paint on the rear driver's side door, photographed in the gallery rather than hidden.
- Factory Japanese-market radio: it does not receive the full 88-108 MHz FM band without a band expander.
